"Golden Boy EP is indeed a rare and precious treat: at first glance a Lo-Fi pop EP, it grows with complexity upon each listen. Each song is crafted with beautiful simplicity; a combination of unashamedly sweet melodies and harmonies with subtle, yet ever-present effects.
The title track 'Golden Boy' begins with the kind of slopey beat which is reminiscent of late 90's US hip-hop and develops into the kind of pop song which manages to simultaneously inspire joy and sadness. The EP is littered with virtuoso instrumental performances, most notably the guitar performance from Matthew Cleghorn (Bedlam Six) in the final track 'Time To Change Your Mind'.
Golden Boy is an impressive debut and i for one cannot wait to hear the full album in 2014."
